We spotted this emerging trend last year and were one of the first firms to promote a divorcees getaway for our client Grand Velas. A key feature of the package was that if the starter wife got a good settlement, she good upgrade to the top resort suite and be provided with a consultation with a jeweler to redesign the wedding ring. Another example, (courtesy of Hotel Hotsheet) the Hotel Preston in Nashville which came up with an innovative plan to woo couples headed for splitsville - the “I do, I did, I’m done” package. But first, guests can try to save their marriage with separate rooms on opposite ends of the hotel. Then the couple gets an hour consultation with family lawyer (a list of attorneys is provided). The hotel throws in a conference room for mediation.
