Real Estate trends – the latest incentives for buyers
To help boost sales in a market that has seen a definite slowdown, business and developers constantly have to come up with new perks to entice luxury home buyers. Home upgrades and annulled closing costs are a thing of the past. To set themselves apart, resort projects around the world are pulling out all the stops and offering everything from Mini Cooper’s and satellite-ready security technology, to a year’s worth of coconut oil spa treatments as incentives.
The latest addition to the goody list: private jets. Projects around the world have started touting access to planes, free flights and discounts on charter services, hoping a few free rides will help close a deal on a vacation home.
According to Kevin Brass of the Herald Tribune -While (private jet services) may seem like randomly chosen sales gimmicks, both the builders and the jet services target the same high-end demographic – wealthy individuals who value their time. And the two sides often agree to share membership lists and advertise to each other’s clientele. Moreover, while rising fuel costs have dampened the market in the past year, there also has been a steady increase in fractional ownership deals, arrangements that allow frequent fliers to buy a share of a plane much like they could buy a share of a condo.
With this in mind, the possibilities for innovative incentives are endless by forming alliances between like-minded companies.
